hypovolaemic shockmedical dictionary

A state of inadequate tissue perfusion that occurs secondary to an abnormally low circulating blood volume, such that the body is unable to properly maintain blood pressure, cardiac output of blood, and normal amounts of fluid in the tissues.

This can result in a state of deep physical depression and may occur as the result of severe dehydration.
